IBGS (International BodyGuard Skill course)

IBGS is a core education program operated by the International Bodyguard Association (IBA). It is a practice-oriented training course designed to develop professional close protection personnel in accordance with international standards.

The program is based on the fundamental principles of close protection and provides comprehensive training in threat recognition, mobile protection, team formations, situational decision-making, advance reconnaissance, and protective driving concepts. All training is conducted through scenario-based exercises rather than theory-focused instruction, with emphasis placed not only on individual competence but also on coordinated team-level response and operational effectiveness.

IBGS is not a simple completion course.
It is a benchmark program that evaluates an individual’s ability to perform protection duties in line with international standards.
The course structure supports progressive design for both entry-level candidates and experienced practitioners, and serves as a mandatory foundational stage leading into advanced and specialized protection training programs.

Developing protection capabilities in accordance with international CPO standards

PSD - Protective Services

 Detail

The PSD program is an advanced operational close protection course focused on VIP protection and escort operations in high-risk environments, with emphasis on team-based tactical operations and response to multi-threat scenarios

The program is designed upon the IBGS foundation and focuses on systematically enhancing mission execution capability and integrated team-level response required in real-world operational environments

Tactical Skills

Tactical Skills is a practice-oriented training domain focused on strengthening the physical and tactical capabilities required for protection operations.

This program is not intended for simple skill acquisition. Its purpose is to develop judgment, movement execution, and team integration that function immediately under threat conditions.

Core tactical elements repeatedly required in real-world environments—including firearms handling, movement control, non-lethal restraint, use of cover, and evasion—are trained and validated through scenario-based exercises and structured evaluation.

All training is designed with real-world applicability as the primary standard, reinforcing not only individual capability but also coordinated team-level response.

Tactical Skills serves as a core tactical training component that leads into IBGS and advanced protection programs, and is a mandatory course for completing field-oriented protection capability.

Threat Response

& Environmental Security

Threat Response & Environmental Security is a structured training course focused on developing the ability to identify threats in advance, control operational environments, and respond immediately to changing situations.

This domain goes beyond reactive techniques. Its purpose is to strengthen protection capability across the full operational cycle, from pre-incident risk identification through active response and post-incident stabilization.

Training is conducted based on diverse operational environments, including aviation, maritime, urban areas, public events, and movement routes. Participants receive practical instruction in threat analysis, route planning, access control, surveillance, and reporting systems grounded in real-world protective operations.

High-risk threats such as improvised explosive devices, sniper threats, and potential terrorist scenarios are addressed through repeated scenario-based training, with priority placed on survival and protection-focused response procedures.

The course evaluates not only individual reaction speed, but also team-level information sharing, decision-making frameworks, and environmental control capability. It is designed as an operationally focused program aligned with international close protection and counterterrorism standards.

Threat Response & Environmental Security is a core capability course for maintaining stable and effective protection operations within complex threat environments.

Medical

&

Support Skills

Medical & Support Skills is a training domain focused on strengthening survivability and support capabilities required during protection operations, with consideration for emergency situations and sustained operational environments.

This domain is not limited to basic first aid instruction. Its objective is to provide practice-oriented training that enables protection personnel to maintain and extend the survivability of both the protected individual and the team while operating under threat conditions.

Core medical skills repeatedly required in protection environments—including trauma care, hemorrhage control, casualty movement, and tactical emergency response—are trained and reinforced through scenario-based exercises that reflect real-world conditions.

The program also enhances on-site judgment and support system management capabilities required for prolonged missions, complex threat environments, and situations where medical access is limited.

The course addresses not only individual medical response capability, but also team-based emergency response, protected person management, and support structures designed to sustain operational continuity.

Medical & Support Skills is designed in accordance with IBA and ILETA standards as a practice-oriented program, and serves as a core support capability course that enables both survivability and mission completion across protection operations.

Leadership

&

Advanced Roles

Leadership & Advanced Roles is an advanced program designed to prepare professionals not only to execute protection duties, but to plan, command, and assume responsibility for protection operations.

This domain focuses on strengthening leadership capabilities centered on judgment, coordination, accountability, and communication, rather than individual technical proficiency.

Training is conducted to practical operational standards and covers executive and high-profile protection strategy development, management of complex schedules and multinational environments, team organization and role assignment, and decision-making structures before, during, and after operations.

The program also addresses instructor development for designing and delivering protection training, as well as structural threat analysis and response frameworks required in counterterrorism environments.

This course is not intended for rank advancement or certification alone. It serves as a validation stage for individuals expected to make critical decisions on the ground and take responsibility for their outcomes.

All instruction is evaluated in accordance with international standards and structured for immediate application in real-world operational and training environments.

Leadership & Advanced Roles is the highest-level professional capability program designed to develop core personnel, instructors, and command-level leaders within protection organizations.

 Praetorian Camp(IBA/ILETA HQ) – Elite

Praetorian Camp is an elite training program run by the International Bodyguard Association (IBA) and ILETA Headquarters (HQ). It is the HQ course line designed for the highest level of professional personnel among international standard bodyguard and security training courses.

This training system is operated by selecting individuals who have completed international standard basic and advanced courses, including the IBGS, and have demonstrated practical competency and expertise. Its purpose is to cultivate personnel who can perform the high-difficulty missions and meet the level of responsibility required in international security and protection fields.

The Praetorian Camp system includes elite-level, practical training courses based on real-world operational environments, including live-fire shooting, CQB/CQC, team tactics, high-risk scenario response, and understanding collaboration and command structures in multinational environments.

All courses are designed based on competencies required for positions requiring judgment, leadership, and responsibility, rather than simply acquiring technical skills.

This system includes independent HQ official courses with clearly defined purposes and roles, such as Master Class and Instructor Course.

The Master Class is a course designed to provide in-depth training in specific tactical or specialized fields, while the Instructor Course verifies instructors' capabilities to design and deliver training according to international standards.

Each course has a different character and goal, but they are all elite courses operated according to HQ standards.

Praetorian Camp is not a single training program, but rather the highest level of HQ's training system, designed to train and certify elite security and protection personnel to international standards.

This ensures that participants meet the standards of professionalism, judgment, and responsibility required on the international stage.
